This afternoon I went to the mixing session for The Santa Clause 2. Composer George S. Clinton and crew were as fun to hang out with as ever, and I got a few good photos for his website (to be posted later this week). The score sound really good too – a full 80-piece orchestra, choir, and children’s choir. He wrote 55-minutes of music in 4 weeks, so he was just a little frazzled – but it sounded really good. Very Christmasy. In fact, George had his studio decorated up for the holidays for “inspiration”, and even the scoring stage was decked out as well. They even had a full-blown turkey dinner (with all the trimmings) on the last night of recording.
