Traffic was awful tonight, so by the time John showed up to my place, we had to zip on down to the Culver Studios screening room to make a 7:30pm screening of Chicago. Based on the hit musical by Kander & Ebb, I am quite acquainted with the Bebe Neuwirth Broadway revival, so I was really curious about how it would work on film. Having never seen the Broadway show, though, I cannot make a fair comparison. Nonetheless, for just about 2-hours I was rivited and entertained in such a way that I can’t get it out of my head.
