We finally pulled into Eilat around 8:45pm. It’s a resort city at the southern tip of the country. And many of the hotels look like something out of Las Vegas. We tried to get a hotel room at the Isrotel Royal Beach, but they were sold out. So, we went to Herod’s Palace, which was a rather large looking complex if I’ve ever seen one! We checked in, dropped off our stuff, then went to go eat at the Red Sea Star Underwater Restaurant. It was seafood, as you would expect. As it was night, visibility was limited, but we could watch the fish swim around the coral just outside our window.
