After going to their hotel room and greeting David – and finally meeting Gaby – we walked over to the Hard Rock Casino where we were going to have lunch. It’s hot. Damn hot. But it’s dry, so that helps. We ate at Mr. Lucky’s 24/7, a diner-type place in the casino that has the notable distinction of having old Vegas signs (and elements) rescued from the sign graveyard. For instance, they had an old “Ali Baba Motel” sign. Pretty cool! The food was pretty good – albeit a little overpriced (welcome to Vegas!) – and afterwards we headed back to the hotel room to figure out the wedding plans.
