It took me 3.5 hours to get to Vegas from Los Angeles. That was during the day, when you could see the desert for “brain stimulation”. At night, it’s much much worse – there’s nothing to see on the road except for what your headlights illuminate. And it’s not all that much. There wasn’t too much traffic and the ride was rather smooth all the way to Barstow. I listened to Les Miserables, which I hadn’t listened to in years… and it ended as I pulled into the gas station. From there, I started up with The Phantom of the Opera, which stragely enough finished as I pulled into my driveway – at 1am exactly. So, 4 hours to get back. All in all, not bad!
