I’m up to “Horner” now. I have over 1,000 CDs digitized, and it’s “only” taking up 70GB of hard drive space. I think I’m on track to using about 220GB of space when all is said and done. Tha should be what I estimated, more or less. I also converted another laserdisc this weekend, the theatrical cut of Blade Runner from the Criterion laserdisc. The disc wasn’t in the best condition to begin with, so the image is only alright, but it’s the only way you can get the theatrical cut of the film widescreen, and better than VHS!
I didn’t watch the Golden Globes, so don’t ask me about it. I find them a waste of time, especially with the 3-hour delay here in LA. I might as well just check out the live news feeds online and see who won! Congrats to Howard Shore for winning twice, though! I’m sure I’ll see him later next month at the Oscar reception. Oh – and go check out those crazy Japanese scientists and their ping-pong ball avalanches. 🙂
