This morning I drove up to Studio City to attend the scoring session for The Pink Panther remake. Composed by Chris Beck, he is using Mancini’s classic theme, as well as his own stuff. After I commented to Chris that one of his cues was using an inversion of Mancini’s theme, he berated the others in the booth for not noticing for the past two days! (Obviously it was intentional!) The film looks like it could be funny – definitely a lot of physical humor!
So I got a news bit up on SoundtrackNet (thus making me feel productive) and when I got home, I spent about 4 hours working on a website I’m getting paid for. So, that made me feel even better!
