Sessions in the Middle East

Dan Showbiz

Two scoring sessions today: Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, composed by Inon Zur, at Warner Brothers. It was fun, especially since it was for a computer game – that means LOTS of big action stuff. After that, I drove down to Sony for Syriana, the political thriller by Stephen Gaghan (Traffic). Composed by Alexandre Desplat, it’s a very cool, cerebral score with lots of percussion and ethnic instruments. Today was just the string section – I’ll be going back to Warner Brothers on Sunday to catch some soloists.
