I don’t like LaCie hard drives anymore. Sure they look nice and stuff, but they’re crapping out on me more than I would like. This time, I plug the drive in that has about 70GB of data over three projects…. and it doesn’t show up as having a logical drive. Lucky for me, I found a piece of software that can recover the data from the drive – but it does so at the painfully slow rate of 1MB/sec. Do the math. 70GB is gonna take a long, long time. And then there’s the issue of, once I recovered the data, do I risk reformatting / repartitioning the drive, and put the data back on there? Or do I buy another hard drive, which costs $$? Grr!
