We met up with more cousins today, and will be trekking (in three cars) across Israel and up to the Golan Heights. Our destination is Metulla, to see The Good Fence, and Lebanon. Just south of Metulla is Kiryat Shemona, which was hit by Hezbollah rockets t-his summer during the fighting. For reference, Israel is so small that to drive from Haifa to Metulla (at the top of the country) is about 95km (less than 60 miles) – so not far at all.
