After hitting the fitness room, I went out in search of a late dinner. I figured I’d drive into downtown Las Vegas and check out the Fremont Street Experience, the covered street that has a video light show. It wasn’t on. How disappointing. The street was crowded and popping though, mainly with rowdy college kids out to celebrate Cinco de Mayo a day early. I managed to finally find a place to eat – at a cafe in the Golden Nugget Casino – and then just went back to the hotel to read until my dad arrived.
