Woke up early today, around 6:30am, and then by 8am I was at Terminal 1 at LAX, going to the gate where I would be taking a flight to Phoenix. By 11:15, I was on the ground in Maricopa County, and met up with my mom and grandma. We then got the rental car, and picked up my great-uncle who was arriving from Kansas City. An hour later, we were in Carefree, Arizona, where we were staying for my cousin’s wedding. It was a relaxing afternoon, seeing relatives and catching up with some people, and then we went to the bus around 6pm to be shuttled to Greasewood Flat, the original stagecoach stop between Fort McDowell and Phoenix, where we were having the rehearsal dinner, BBQ style! Burgers, hot dogs, chicken, beans, salad, and more. And an open bar. It was great stuff, and very filling – but there was room for dessert, where we had a choice of peach, apple or blueberry cobbler! Mmm! Quite stuffed, and tired, we then trudged onto the bus to head back to the suite. Tomorrow I will be driving back down to Tempe to meet a friend for lunch, so I don’t think I’ll have much of a breakfast!
