Today is Yael’s first birthday, so to celebrate we had a bunch of family and friends over for brunch. Some people couldn’t make it, as we had a family wedding to attend that afternoon in Groton. It was a nice brunch, though Yael didn’t “destroy” the cake we had put in front of her. So much for that photo op!
My cousin Andrew was getting married, and the event was taking place in Groton, somewhere northwest of Boston. The drive took about an hour to get there, and the setting for the ceremony was absolutely gorgeous. The sun was starting to set over the hills, and it was a nice rustic setting.
The ceremony and party were fun, but I had been up early and was konking out around 10pm. So I went back with my sister, brother-in-law and nieces, and managed to get to bed by 11:30pm.
