This blog has been up and running now for almost 2.5 years (wow!)… and it’s been called “Not As Tasty As Cardboard” for almost that entire time. I think it’s time for a change… and considering something I said the other day in the webroom (which was deemed quote-worthy and is on our “quote board”), I think I might change the name (when I do the site redesign soon) to “Don’t Shake My Eight-Ball”). What do you think?
After about a month or so of work reworking the code, I launched the “cleaned up” version of SoundtrackNet. It’s not a redesign, but it uses CSS now, and is a bit sleeker. Go check it out!
I have a new blog! “Eating Los Angeles” is my attempt at sharing my thoughts with everyone about the restaurants I’ve gone to here in Los Angeles. What I’ve eaten, what I’ve enjoyed (or hated) – it’s all gonna be there! It’s not really retroactive, however, so you’ll just have to discover the restaurants as I go to them! Enjoy!!
Got an email from Rawson; seem that the trailer to his new film is up! Go check it out at Apple!
Many of you know I’m a movie fiend. Simply put, I have a crapload of films. I also tend to lend out my movies to my friends, as anyone in my position would. But it’s hard to keep people posted on what I do or don’t have. So, I put my database online. And created a MySQL PHP interface to it. It will be tweaked (and if you have suggestions, send ’em over!), but for now here ya go!
Just a small note, today I will be blogging remotely on a laptop with a wireless connection. Woohoo! 😉
After a few months of inactivity, I have decided to shut down MookCentral. It had a nice little run for a short bit, but then started falling apart towards the end. (Sounds like many things these days.) It’s still there on the website, in archival form, but you can’t post comments.
Renamed the blog from the mundane “DanBlog” to “Not As Tasty As Cardboard”. Thanks to my good friend Justus for the suggestion.
Well, seems that there’s a new Spider-Man trailer available. While the shots look cool and all, it’s just nowhere near as impressive and exciting as the first trailer they put out. Oh well – can’t win ’em all. Still, eagerly looking forward to the film!
