Today I was at the Poseidon scoring session, music composed by Klaus Badelt. The film, by Wolfgang Petersen, is another adaptation of the novel that the 1972 disaster classic, The Poseidon Adventure, was based on. So it’s similar, but different. The Recruit
I went to go see The Recruit tonight. The story basically follows James Clayton (Colin Farrell) as he goes from being a trainee, recruited to the CIA by Al Pacino, to being an undercover operative within the CIA who is trying to weed out a mole. The story has more twists than a Chubby Checkers contest, and was rather entertaining on the whole. Directed by Roger Donaldson (Tomorrow Never Dies), the pacing was rather tight, and the storyline intriguing. The …

Headed back on over to The Grove tonight to see Kathryn Bigelow‘s latest flick, K-19: The Widowmaker. Convinced that it was gonna be a mildly amusing submarine drama with Harrison Ford spouting an awful Russian accent (as evidenced by the trailer), I gotta say I was going in with less than optimistic expectations.
